You can go to immigration and take a number and wait, or use the online system to make an appointment and have a shorter wait. Do it well in advance to get a slot on the day you want

The "i don't know what" certificate that bangkok bank asked for was a certificate of authenticity of my passport from my home country embassy. Made appointment online and took a few hours, went back to the bank with it and my account stayed open. Every one happy cuz I listened.

yup, and if like me, the flight info i provided was the flight i booked immediately upon getting the evisa, as the turnaround can be just a few days.

are you saying that if you have a non-OA you don't have to keep banked money at all and don't have to keep monthy xfers either? I had understood the OA was inclusive of both bank _and_ insurance. I have a non-O and i also have insurance because it's good to have.

I will be doing the same come late october. When do you? I would love to know results. One thing I am curious about is how much attention they give to the balance requirements from the previous year extension (the 3 months that follow the extension date)
