Hi. I am 20 days in on a 90 day non-O retirement visa. When I apply for the year extension, I understand I will want to update my bank passbook the same day. Right now it only has the stamp for opening the account. My required balance transfer will be complete in a few days. Should I get the passbook updated on that day or soon after as well? Is there a best way to have the passbook presentable when doing the extension application?.thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
You should update your bank passbook on the day you apply for your one-year extension of stay. It's crucial that your bank passbook shows the required balance, which must have been in the account for at least two full calendar months (not just 60 days). On the day of application, ensure your bank book is updated along with any necessary bank statements and a letter from your bank to support your extension application.

You need to update your bankbook on the day you apply for your one year extention of stay in order to prove your 800k Baht has been in there for 2 months. The bankbook will update with all transactions on the day you update and apply for your extention.
For most offices, it would be acceptable to have the bank letter, the statement from the bank and photo copies of your bank book pages dated within 7 days of your application, and on the day make a withdrawl (making sure the balance doesnt drop below the required amount), update the bank book, get a copy of the latest page.
You'll need to press on with that transfer. The money needs to be in your account for 2 full calendar months before you can apply for the extension (not 60 days) and you don't want to leave it to the last minute
derstand the application day but just asking about whether multiple passbook updates, starting now, is helpful. Because otherwise I would just wait until December and going to immigration
