 It worked perfectly for me. I would do it again without doubt. 10 USD worth it. No stress.

 I have tried it. It worked, no problem. With Lufthansa. They checked at check-in whether I was in the system as having an outbound ticket. The ticket was cancelled after 48h from date and time of flying, when I was already in Thailand. Paid 10 USD.

 Google "onward tickets"... there are legal ways to solve the problem for 10-15 USD...
