Asking for a friend : a UK national, retiree in Thailand for the past 7 years on yearly extensions based on Non-O, wish to leave Thailand and go back to UK for good. His latest extension is valid till end of June 2020. QUESTION : can he just fly out of Thailand one way before end of June 2020 ? or does he need to do something else ? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK national retiree in Thailand, currently on a Non-O visa with an extension valid until the end of June 2020, can leave Thailand on a one-way ticket anytime before the extension expires without needing to take any additional steps.
