Hello there,
I have my "1-year-extension" based on "Retirement" valid till March 2020. Will leave Thailand in May 2019 and come back in September 2019 (I have the "Re-Entry Permit). When I come back, what should I expect te be asked at the airport ? Proof of hotel bookings, 20k THB cash, onward ticket..? Thanks !
TLDR : Answer Summary
When returning to Thailand with a 1-year extension based on retirement and a re-entry permit, you may be asked for several documents at the airport. Ensure you have proof of hotel bookings, to show where you will be staying. It's also advisable to carry at least 20,000 THB in cash, as it is sometimes requested by immigration. Additionally, having an onward ticket can demonstrate your travel plans, though it may not always be required.
