Google doesnt give consistent answer. This is not a visa question but I am going to Laos through bangkok, same Airline company ( thai Airlines ) both legs. Length of stop in Bangkok is about 5,5h.

I am pretty sure I dont need to complete the TDAC since I dont pass migration? But on my previous trips to Thailand the Airlines have been very thorough checking the TDAC?

Arrived in Bangkok on Wednesday morning — immigration took less than a minute. Got my 6-month stamp through my DTV (since 2024), no questions asked. Completed the TDAC one day before departure, so everything was smooth.

The journey from Malta via Istanbul couldn’t have gone better. Both Turkish Airlines and Thai Airways delivered an excellent travel experience.

If I fly the Thai Airways business class to Suvarnabhumi Airport, can I use the fast-track land to clear the immigration clearance? Or do I have to buy the separately?

Ok, today l traveled from London to Bangkok direct with Thai Airways TG 917. Flight touchdown 14.55. l exited the plane 15.05, l cleared customs waited at carousel to pick my luggage, got in Mike Taxi arrived at Travelodge Pattaya at exactly 5pm. Now 2 hours from touchdown to hotel in Pattaya must be a record, or am l wrong.

Quick DTV Entry Update: 🇵🇰🇹🇭

This was my second entry to Thailand on the DTV. I had entered Thailand from Bali on my first entry and it was a breeze. Just got asked a Q about accomodation.

Today I was entering from Pakistan. And it was even smoother. I expected a lot of Qs at Bangkok airport. Surprisingly, no Qs asked. Just stamped in for 6 months.

There were a few Qs leaving Pakistan (by Pakistani Passport Control) but mainly because they'd never seen a DTV before 😁

So happy with the whole process 🎉

PS: I filled out the TDAC while still on runway so it saved a BUNCH of time. Also, ZERO waiting time in line for passport control. They have so many counters now.

Is it correct that a Thai national can travel from the UK on Thai airways with an expired passport?
