I hope all works out for you. I plan to initially live in Thailand but may eventually move to Cambodia or another nearby nation. If so, I’ll need to go to Thailand monthly for medical treatment and will be in a similar boat.

I don’t know about that. I’ve been reading about numerous landlords trying to stick tenants with repair costs. Yes, they should not need to worry about repairs, but there’s a level of control with ownership.
