Out of the 50,000 DTVs approved, I'd guess maybe 10 people were pressingly questioned upon entry regarding ongoing course or financial statements. You could just as easily say your back to find a new soft power activity.

As mentioned by Bob, the 400,000 only needs to sit in the bank 2 months, you're free to use it all until 2 months before your next extension.

 I suggest if they have a DTV to do the TDAC beforehand, print out their DTV and hand it to the IO with passport.
