Hi everyone, ive posted the same on other forum and as of now i have not receive reply from anyone that has gone thru similar situation.
We will need to renew our current retirement visa extension 45 days prior to the end of the validity date. Reason being, we will be out of country for 2 month in which the expiry date falls within the 2 months where we will not be in thailand.
We understand that only certain immigration office will process/accept renewal request within 45days in advance. One of them will be Chaengwattana Div. 1 (correct me if I'm wrong and appreciate some guide)
We leave in Rayong and the immigration office here will only process/accept request within 30days and not any earlier.
Questions:-
1) if we book a hotel in bangkok and get tm30 for 1 night or 2, will chaengwattana div. 1 office accept our request?
2) can we get the bank letter regards to our 800k a day before we send in our request? Or it has to be the same day as submission? We will also update our bank book the same day as the letter issued as we can do both on same day.
3) will we be able to get our passport back in the same day or it will take a working day which we will only be able to get it next day? Our 45days period falls on a Friday.
Your help and advice on this matter will be highly appreciated ๐.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks guidance on renewing their retirement visa extension while being out of Thailand for two months prior to expiration. Key questions include whether Chaengwattana Division 1 will accept their renewal request with a temporary hotel stay, if a bank letter can be obtained a day before the request submission, and the return timeline for passports during the process. Comments from the community suggest checking with the local Rayong office and the potential use of a visa agent due to timing concerns.

, this is new to us. We have never heard of this latest you mentioned for our situation. We are both foreigner. My non o visa has been applied depend on my husband non oa retirement visa. We have all documents needed which is all legally owned and we have the necessary insurance policy too. Will need to do more research abt this
standard procedure is to go to your local office before your extension time and get the latest list of requirements so that you are not surprised. And yes it's also possible that depending on the exact dates you could possibly do the extension within the 30 days if you're actually in the country and then ask the officer if they will give you an under consideration stamp for 6 weeks and then you would get a reentry permit and return before that 6 weeks to get your final stamp

Have you actually gone to Rayong office, explained and asked? And in theory your plan will work, except they may ask for your lease agreement, bank letters are good for a week, they will likely want to see the year statement/letter, your extension will be approved and inked in right then and there.
, many thanks. We will try asking and hope it will work. To answer your question, we owned a house here in rayong and our 800k each are in fd account and have never been touch since day 1 we are here.
