I see now that immigration requires a letter from your Thai bank stating that your balance has come from overseas. Is this a long process or can they do it for you immediately.
Can someone with certain knowledge let me know whether the ISSUE DATE of the required BANK LETTER, for the purpose of EXTENSION for NON-O RETIREMENT, can be a few days PRIOR to the appointment, considering that the branch director's signature is required and, by past experience, all banks ask "a few days" to issue this letter?
My Branch is DIVISION 1 Bangkok
My Appointment time is 9 AM
Considering that my bank in CW opens at 8.30 can someone tell me HOW can I get all the following (which are required to be dated all ON THE SAME DAY of the extension) done before my appointment at 9 AM?
Hello, does anyone have a sample letter they can share, obviously personal details blanked out, of a sample bank letter showing 65k going into their account every month for 12 months as international transfers. This is in support of an application for renewal of non 0 visa extension of stay. I've been to 2 branches of my bank and they looked blank when I asked. Thanks
Hey guys, I’m just curious if anyone has a sample letter of the bonk statement ( that it’s my account, and how much I have etc.). I always have a hard time explaining to SCB what I need for immigration.
Getting the 12 month statement is no problem. It’s just that letter immigration requires from the bank on the same day
Just a quick check on renewing 1 yr retirement visa for the 1st time. So need TM ?, letter from bank and photos? Is that all I need? Or do I need new residency certificate even if I haven't moved. TIA 🌼
I've searched here, but am still not quite clear on documents required to get the initial 90 day extension for my Non-O (retirement). I've got 30 days left on my TR60. 800k is in my bank account. In Chiang Mai. Thanks!
I'm on a 90 day O Visa based on retirement and next Friday (16th) I will be applying for a one year extension (first time). My current visa expires on February 26th.
Yesterday I went to the Bangkok Bank (the bank where my account is held) near Udon Thani immigration and asked for an account statement. They asked for my passport and I hadn't brought it with me. My brain was in UK mode and I didn't even consider taking it. I opened my account two months ago and the bank clerk said she could print me a statement when I bring in my passport. That wasn't possible yesterday and so I'm planning to return on Monday.
I'd like to ask if a printed statement from the bank, rather than one from Bangkok Bank's head office, will be acceptable to immigration..
A few other questions if I may.
Can photocopies (e.g. Passport) be in black and white?
Where do I place my signature on the photocopies, top or bottom?
On the day I apply for the one year statement I know I need to update my bank book and get a letter from the bank. Can I ask for the letter on the day of my application or do I need to order it beforehand? Also, what type of letter do I ask for?
Hi all. I’m renewing my 1-year Non-O retirement extension for the first time. My question: What paperwork is required from my bank when renewing? I’m in Bangkok, U.S. passport. My 800,000฿ is in my regular account that I use all the time. Do they need a statement of all transactions for the year? It will be so long. Or is there some kind of summary of monthly balances the bank provides? Thanks for any advice.
Hi everyone, just wanted to provide an update as my husband (US) and I (Thai) just went to the Bangkok Immigrations Office (Chaengwattana) today to apply for the Non-O Thai Wife 1 yr extension for my husband and in addition to all the document requirements that has been circulated in this group, my husband has to provide a hand drawn map to our house as well. Also, since we're not renting and staying at my family's house, we submitted a letter from the Head of Household (my dad) that he permits us to stay in his house, in lieu of the rental agreement (along with copy of house registration and copy of Head of Household ID). The officers accepted the letter without question. Lastly, we were there for 7 HOURS as walk ins.. so, pls make an appointment before hand to save time. Oh, and make sure your bank book AND bank letter is updated showing today's date (date you apply). We didn't have any transactions in his bank book since Oct and we got yelled at for not having the correct date on the book. We ran downstairs to the Bangkok Bank on site and took out some cash at the ATM and updated his book at the Book Update machine next to the ATM.
Looks like we're all set with everything... We're asked to come back on Dec 25th for the results, but my husband also got a notice to do a 90 report in mid Feb. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and assuming we're already approved and just pending a home visit.
