Update on my husband's married DTV with the Thai Consulate of Los Angeles: Came back today to tell him to reapply to the visa after he had mistakenly "forgot" to put a hyphen in his last name. Note: The message did not tell him that he's denied a visa.

Reapplied: Sept 28, 2024

At the end of the reapplication, was expected to pay another $400 (.... really?)

Remember everyone who happens to have hyphens in their names or some middle name. INCLUDE THEM! Save the $400 mistake that my husband made.

Has anyone applied for DTV with a joint bank account? Do I need to be the main account holder? I’ve tried to email the Los Angeles consulate but no response.

Has anyone had challenges with the Los Angeles Thai Consulate regarding eVisas? They are difficult to get on the phone and will not answer questions via email, only repeat (verbatim) what they've already said. I'm guessing I'm not the only one with these issues, so I'm checking to see.

Non Immigrant Type O-A visa question; I'm preparing to head down to Los Angeles in a few weeks to visit the Thai Consulate for the visa. The info' on their website requests a police report. I went to our local Live Scan service office and there are so many options available from full blown fingerprinting, Dept of Justice and FBI checks to DMV checks. Will a clearance letter from my local Sheriffs office suffice? Curious to hear from anyone that's gone through this process recently out of the L.A. Thai Consulate. Thanks.
