Currently on an Non B Visa extension and planning a short trip outside Thailand via land and returning the same, of course I'll be getting a re-entry permit.
My question, from what I understand I will continue to use my current TM6 and not fill in a new one upon re-entry, is this true? Where on my passport should the IO be stamping me in and out. Anything else I need to know upon leaving and returning to Thailand?
Upon my return what do I do in regards to my residence reporting? I've lived at my current address 5yrs and will continue to live there upon return.
Thanks for any heads up advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When leaving Thailand on a Non-B Visa with a re-entry permit, you should turn in your TM6 departure card and complete a new TM6 Arrival/Departure card upon re-entry. Immigration will stamp your passport on a designated visa page. After returning, you must report to the Immigration Office within 24 hours at your residence address.
You turn in your TM 6 departure card on leaving and fill in a new TM 6 Arrival/Departure card on entry where the arrival part is kept by Immigration. The Immigration Officer will put a stamp on one of the pages designed for Visa in your passport. Depending on where you stay, you have to report at Immigration Office within 24 hours after return at the address.
