Ryan, totally get where you’re coming from. Same me. It’s a “last resort” or “easiest” long stay visa for the under 50 crowd.

Feels like a waste of money so better have plenty.

As many chimed in, seems to be the most stable.

All the other visas laws and requirements change often.

Be well bro.

90% of the time it works all of the time.

Depends on you, when you do it, your browser and pop up blocker.

If you get an error message you can try again.

There’s drive thru reporting at some immigration offices. Looks speedy.

Good luck!

Hi
@Dianne ****
I am unable to follow the link to the post you shared.

Where does the speculation arise from?

The graphics shared from the Thai Immigration are straightforward.

No need to extend, no 90-day report, no fee, no docs to submit.

"Immigration Bureau will process the abovementioned steps automatically."

AND

"The permitted period of stay and notification of 90-day report shall be extended from 1 May to 31 July 2020.

Once the situation is resolved, such alien must apply for visa extension and do 90-day reporting as specified by the regulations."

I have my documents gathered and I am prepared to go to Immigration when I am directed to do so.

My current visa should take me through most of November 2020 with extensions when and where I am permitted.

Hi Thomas, I’m currently on an ED due for an extension later this month.

Can you share with me where you found the info regarding amnesty on an ED visa?

So far I’ve read it’s only Tourist visas/exemptions.

Thanks.

You can get SafetyWing travel insurance for about $38/month.

I have it specifically for motorcycle accidents. I want top quality care should something happen. It could be a relatively affordable surgery at 100,000-200,000฿ or worse case be In ICU. Either way I’m covered.

The mandatory minimum insurance that comes with your bike is two-thirds of fuck all. It’ll cover a scrape or simple fracture.

I’m not looking for trouble but trouble may be looking for me.

If you want to do it all aboveboard you either get there early in the morning for a low number or you come late and take your chances. Hey, maybe they don't hand out all the numbers every day.

You can use a "fixer" to expedite the process but it comes at a cost.
