Only a few ways off once you're on. They sure don't make it easy to stay here if you're under 50 and unmarried to a Thai.

The only "easy" way is to part with 600,000฿ for a 5-year Elite Visa (or 1M for 20 years).

If a rich Uncle died, I'd do it!

@Bo***
, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place and they were one of the more affordable options. I was quoted between 5,900-12,000฿ from agents in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya.

My other option that one agency suggested was leaving Thailand and coming back in. How much would that have cost me?

Ryan, totally get where you’re coming from. Same me. It’s a “last resort” or “easiest” long stay visa for the under 50 crowd.

Feels like a waste of money so better have plenty.

As many chimed in, seems to be the most stable.

All the other visas laws and requirements change often.

Be well bro.

90% of the time it works all of the time.

Depends on you, when you do it, your browser and pop up blocker.

If you get an error message you can try again.

There’s drive thru reporting at some immigration offices. Looks speedy.

Good luck!

Hi
@Dianne ****
I am unable to follow the link to the post you shared.

Where does the speculation arise from?

The graphics shared from the Thai Immigration are straightforward.

No need to extend, no 90-day report, no fee, no docs to submit.

"Immigration Bureau will process the abovementioned steps automatically."

AND

"The permitted period of stay and notification of 90-day report shall be extended from 1 May to 31 July 2020.

Once the situation is resolved, such alien must apply for visa extension and do 90-day reporting as specified by the regulations."

I have my documents gathered and I am prepared to go to Immigration when I am directed to do so.

My current visa should take me through most of November 2020 with extensions when and where I am permitted.
