What is the current process and waiting time for extending an ED visa at Chiang Mai Immigration?
Hello! Anybody do an extension/90-day report for ED visa in Chiang Mai recently?
How long is this taking?
Do I need to queue in morning or can I rock up in the afternoon with my paperwork?
Note: each term is important
Extension for ED (not tourist)
Chiang Mai Immigration (not elsewhere)
Recently (inside last 3-4 weeks)
Thanks!
This may sound salty but it’s for everyone’s benefit including commenters and readers.

I think you will get better (more accurate and timely) responses if you post in a Chiang Mai related f/b group like Chiang Mai digital gonads, or Chiang Mai Expats,
BUT be that as it may
There are a LOT of first hand reports that since the personnel swap at the Chiang Mai immigration office that it is a total cluster fuck.
A friend getting an ED visa extension got there at 11 only to be told they already accepted as many people for ED extensions as they wanted that day and was told to come back the next day. :O
That is first hand from someone ON an ED visa extension AT the Chiang Mai Immigration office..
