How do I complete the 90-day report in Thailand, and what documents are needed?

90 days report completed yesterday.

My process:

- Went to Immigration Division 1 in Lak Si (I had initially tried Chamchuri Square, but they sent me to Lak Si).

- Once inside the building, immigration is on the right. Walk in, get a TM47 form from the first counter, and then queue at the counter inside.

- Complete the TM47 form.

- Wait (in my case 4h). You can scan the QR code on your queue ticket to get live updates.

- Receive the 90-day report slip. No questions were asked, although I noticed that the staff seemed a bit lost as they chatted a lot among themselves, likely because I was one of the first to go through this process.

Please note that this was my experience—your process might differ, and the immigration officer could ask for more information.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for completing a 90-day report in Thailand generally involves visiting the immigration office, specifically at the Lak Si division if instructed. Individuals need to fill out the TM47 form, which can be obtained on-site. A wait time of about 4 hours is common. It's important to note that the experience may vary, and certain documents such as the TM30 form from your landlord may be required. Some users have inquired about the possibility of conducting the report online; currently, the initial report must be done in person, while subsequent reports may be completed online.

Can you provide more info on the DTV 90 days report? I am confused about it. When I entered Thailand with my DTV, I asked the immigration person about the 90 days report and they say I don't have to go to immigration, I can stay for 180 days straight in the country....I'm confused...
Netanel *******
What is the tm47? I only got to know the tm30 which you get from the landlord. Is it just a form with details to fill?

@Netanel ******
the TM47 is a form that the immigration provides to you there at the office, no need to worry about it 👍🏽

Precisou levar alguma documentação, irmão?

What if you’re not in country for 90 days straight? Say you leave and enter every 90 days give or take. Has anyone heard of this scenario being ok?

yes, if you hop in and out without ever staying for more than 90 days you don't have to do it 👍🏽 I'm in Thailand for 3 years now (non-b + work permit before and now DTV) and this is the first time I ever did it

I’ve been in Thailand 15 months but never for 90 days straight as have travelled in and out so no need to do it unless you stay 90 days in a row

Correct. Only 90 continuous days requires a report. Every time you enter, the clock resets to zero.

90 day report is usually a minor task of all things taking 5-10 minutes at the most but like everything here it’s up to the office, lunar cycle, and number of bones found in the ice cream.

What documentation have you provided?

but this is not for DVT application?

@Maxi *****
no, my DTV was approved 3 months ago, this is the 90 days report that all foreigners have to do (except people on a smart visa) if we spend 90 consecutive days in Thailand
Maxi ******
@Marcos ********
so you need to have the 90 days report also for the DTV…
Stephen ********
So this is the address slip we need to get updated within 24 hours of re -entering? Or something else…

@Stephen *******
that is the slip of the 90 days notification, not sure if I understood your question

@Tim **********
When I have done it it is passport copies of visa page and bio, TM30 and TM47 completed. I just get the TM47 at immigration as well as the copies done.
Adam *******
Can you do the next one online instead?

Oh man, 4 hours? Chonburi Immigration Office in Pattaya has a dedicated 90 day report desk - hope they don't take as long whenever I do mine.
