How do I complete the 90-day report in Thailand, and what documents are needed?

90 days report completed yesterday.

My process:

- Went to Immigration Division 1 in Lak Si (I had initially tried Chamchuri Square, but they sent me to Lak Si).

- Once inside the building, immigration is on the right. Walk in, get a TM47 form from the first counter, and then queue at the counter inside.

- Complete the TM47 form.

- Wait (in my case 4h). You can scan the QR code on your queue ticket to get live updates.

- Receive the 90-day report slip. No questions were asked, although I noticed that the staff seemed a bit lost as they chatted a lot among themselves, likely because I was one of the first to go through this process.

Please note that this was my experience—your process might differ, and the immigration officer could ask for more information.

Did you have to pay any fees for that 90 days report?

Even if we report for every stay of 90 days straight, is there any tax for staying?

@Zaw ***********
no fee for the 90 days report. Regarding the taxes that's a complex topic, but in any case if you stay more than 180 days in Thailand you become a tax resident.

@Marcos ********
Thanks. In that case, I’d rather go vacation in Cambodia or Vietnam with that money than paying taxes😅

4h 😢

Do you have to pay for this ?

Can you provide more info on the DTV 90 days report? I am confused about it. When I entered Thailand with my DTV, I asked the immigration person about the 90 days report and they say I don't have to go to immigration, I can stay for 180 days straight in the country....I'm confused...
James ********
@Manu *******
you MUST do a 90 day report anytime you are in Thailand for 90 days with the DTV visa.

Failure to do the 90 day report is a fine of 2,000 Thai.

I don't have a lot more info, but the 90 days report is something that pretty much all foreigners have to do regardless of their visa type (except smart visa) if they stay in the country for more than 90 straight days. If you search in the group you'll find some official documents (in Thai) saying DTV has to do 90 days as well... the information about this is not super clear so better be on the safe side and if you are getting close to your 90 days just go to the immigration office
Netanel *******
What is the tm47? I only got to know the tm30 which you get from the landlord. Is it just a form with details to fill?
Marcos *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Netanel ******
the TM47 is a form that the immigration provides to you there at the office, no need to worry about it 👍🏽

Precisou levar alguma documentação, irmão?

What if you’re not in country for 90 days straight? Say you leave and enter every 90 days give or take. Has anyone heard of this scenario being ok?
Marcos *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Talia ***
yes, if you hop in and out without ever staying for more than 90 days you don't have to do it 👍🏽 I'm in Thailand for 3 years now (non-b + work permit before and now DTV) and this is the first time I ever did it
Michael ********
@Talia ***
I’ve been in Thailand 15 months but never for 90 days straight as have travelled in and out so no need to do it unless you stay 90 days in a row
John *********
Correct. Only 90 continuous days requires a report. Every time you enter, the clock resets to zero.

90 day report is usually a minor task of all things taking 5-10 minutes at the most but like everything here it’s up to the office, lunar cycle, and number of bones found in the ice cream.

What documentation have you provided?

passport, TM47 and TM30

@Marcos ********
but this is not for DVT application?

@Maxi *****
no, my DTV was approved 3 months ago, this is the 90 days report that all foreigners have to do (except people on a smart visa) if we spend 90 consecutive days in Thailand
Maxi ******
@Marcos ********
so you need to have the 90 days report also for the DTV…
Stephen ********
So this is the address slip we need to get updated within 24 hours of re -entering? Or something else…
Marcos *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Stephen *******
that is the slip of the 90 days notification, not sure if I understood your question

Just in general, never heard of it. Just did a quick google. Thanks for posting or I would have had no idea.

Thanks for sharing ! Did you bring the TM30 that you got from you landlord ? Anything else required ?

@Tim **********
yes I had the TM30, TM47 and passport copies

Thanks, and you went to Chaeng Watthana in Lak Si, right? I'm dreading this....hopefully the online will work after my 1st one.

yes, someone shared the online queue here on the thread, give it a look, I was not aware it existed 👍🏽
Greg ********
@Tim **********
When I have done it it is passport copies of visa page and bio, TM30 and TM47 completed. I just get the TM47 at immigration as well as the copies done.
Adam *******
Can you do the next one online instead?
Marcos *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Adam ******
the officer said that it's possible
Xav ****
@Marcos ********
Good to know that it could be done online.

Does that mean that aside from the first 90-day reporting, which must be done in person at immigration, all future 90-day reports during the 5-year validity of the DTV visa can be done online?
James ********
@Xav ***
nope... EACH time you enter Thailand RESETS the 90 day report requirement to file. The first time each entry into Thailand is done at your local Thai Immigration office where you have a TM30 address registration on file with them.

Yes I think it's only the 1st one you can't do online, right?

@Mar***
easier to do online? No wait
마리오 ***
Oh man, 4 hours? Chonburi Immigration Office in Pattaya has a dedicated 90 day report desk - hope they don't take as long whenever I do mine.
Greg ********
@마리오 **
Doing it right now in Jomtien. Got here just before 9am and expect to be out before 9:30. When you enter go to building on the right and first desk is 90 day report. Get your TM47 form from them and complete it. Walk across the yard to the other building. Get your passport copied for 6 Baht. Come back to original desk and hand in passport. They give you a number. They will take a bunch of passports through to immigration officer to process when they have enough in a batch. They bring the processed passports back and shout out your number. Very easy at this office and they are efficient.

Still better than a visa run
