Received my DTV today! I applied on the 22nd and collected my passport today. As a self-employed digital nomad, I provided a bank statement showing $150,000 USD, a stock portfolio worth $50,000 USD, my monthly Google AdSense income of around $3,000/ month and payment slips from the past six months. I was called in for an interview on the 25th, but by that time, the visa sticker was already issued..  Thailand Here I Come ☺🤣

You can't transfer a visa. You travel with both passports. Immigration only transfers extensions of stay.

, in Thailand, you take your old passport with the visa and your new passport to any immigration office and they officially move it into your new passport.

It’s not difficult. I’ve done it before.

As far as losing a passport, that would be very inconvenient, but you gotta treat it like gold and it’s wise to have photos of your details and visa on your phone as well as have it uploaded to the cloud.

Nope, they won't do that. You can only move an in country extension of stay NOT a visa. You travel with both passports.

true. I once lost a passport to pickpocketing with a work visa for China. That was a helluva disaster. My work even had to pay for me to go to fly HK to replace it AFTER the US gave my new passport.
