. We went to Hua Hin immigration, because I am following the process you mentioned (amnesty to 60 day to 90 day) but they didn't specifically mention the days remaining required. So I will make sure to ask in order to avoid problems. I am currently waiting for my 400k to season. I deposited on June 9, so it is good to know if there is a required number of days left on the 60 day, so that the money has time to season.
Ryan there may be some value in talking to your local immigration office to see if they can help. Sometimes there are very helpful officers there who are understanding. Not always, but sometimes. Worth a shot if you are really up against it.
I can confirm that in Hua Hin, they confirmed that 60-day family visit is possible from visa amnesty (before I had non-imm Ed extension). One further question about going from 60-day family visit to 90-day Non-O based on marriage: is it necessary to have a certain number of days left on the 60-day, in order to be eligible to apply for the 90-day non-O?
Sorry if I wrote something incorrect, I indeed plan to cancel the extension of stay on the last day of my course (June 8), and then be on the visa amnesty until July 31. If I'm making some mistake about that, by all means tell me.
My current extenion of stay expires on June 8. I will cancel the ED visa as of June 8. Is that the correct thing to do, in order to qualify for the amnesty
I haven't actually signed the cancellation yet. I could get another extension on the ED visa from my language school. I am choosing to leave on July 31st, and, god willing, do a visa run to Savanakhaet.
