There is NEVER a clear answer as is up to the IO at point of entry however seeing as though you did not extend your previous or current 60 day stamp you should be fine.

Dress smart and having an onward ticket and cash in hand go a long way to appease the IO.

the currency transfer fee drops for balance of month once you've sent A$40k.

Presently an internal currency exchange in Wise 0.567% however fee is about to rise by 25% - is still FA.

wise to Thai bank in THB - 44.45 baht, any volume.

is my strategy in progress.

have made the 3rd 65k transfer to my Kasikorn and hopefully the IO will accept this at extension time enabling the freeing up of the 800k in SCB.

that's their plan.

currently 800k in 1 bank and setting up a 65k monthly transfer at a different bank to utilise after a year.

that's what I'm doing - am at month 3 on the 65k deal so by the time my extension is due I can use either.

if the IO accepts the 65 deal then I have 800k of fun money I won't need to keep locked up.

I found small branches easier to deal with.

and I wrote my own rental agreement and signed it for both parties. 🤐🤐🤐

I have a will I set up in Australia covering my Australian assets.

and a seperate will in Thailand for my Thai assets.

add in a rent certificate and the 12 month extension....

a mate just paid 60k but that also included a residency certificate to purchase a vehicle and ended up with a bank account with 500 baht .
