TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on seeking advice for a prenup and reliable law firms in Bangkok, particularly for an Australian wanting to protect assets in Australia and plan for their son. Recommendations include contacting 'Lawyers for Expats Thailand' for their expertise, especially with a British General Manager. Other firms mentioned are Channinat & Leeds, known for their services, and ATL Anglo Thai Legal, which offers personal consultations. It is also advised to have separate wills for assets in both countries to ensure proper estate planning.

Why do you need to marry her? You can just live together and relax.

okay, if she is marrying an old farang, she is probably on her 3 marriage with multiple kids. She doesn't need to get married, she just wants your money. I understand if she is in her 20s and college educated, then you need to marry her.

You need an Australia Will and a thai Will for assets in each country ...

May be set up on the event of your death some assets from Australia sent to thai estate for example

if you legally married in Thailand she can claim inheritance according to be a wife even if not register in Australia . And if your son know you married and not tell the whole will can be contests. And lying to court is not the best way to protect your asset
