Will I be allowed to re-enter Thailand for 1-2 months after a short trip to Vietnam?

I‘m so fed up with this media panic made up stuff. They are not contolling genuine tourists with only touristic histories in Thailand even if they enter 10 times on visa exemption for a couple of weeks each time and go home. Nobody ever quoted this nonsense. Its all about repeated extensions after 60 days incl. multiple border runs and coming back again for 60 days and applying again for extensions all visible in the passport. Just use common sense and you will find out yourself if you meet the above or not.

If you are flying you should have no problem.

There is NEVER a clear answer as is up to the IO at point of entry however seeing as though you did not extend your previous or current 60 day stamp you should be fine.

Dress smart and having an onward ticket and cash in hand go a long way to appease the IO.

Current guidelines are max 150 days via visa-exempt in any calendar year, so you should be fine

Take a look at this vlog from a guy whose partner is a Thai immigration officer. I am in the exact same position as you and it would seem if you can justify that trip to Vietnam is a holiday and not a visa run, you should be OK.

I just entered for my 5th time in the last year. No issues at all. No return flight checked, no money checked. Will be leaving for 2 weeks again on Boxing Day and coming back again. Never had an issue
