I'm about to apply for a 90-day non-O (Retirement) visa and I understood the requirement to be 800k baht, and that is what the evisa site still says. I happened to look at the Thai Embassy site and it says 30k dollars, which is more like a million baht. Which is correct? Also, do they look at my ending balance for the 3 months, or the average balance?
If you are using the 12 monthly foreign deposits to your Thai Bank Account make sure you check your statement when you get it from the bank. I got my 1 year statement and its missing my deposit for both February and March. So I look at my bank book and both deposits are listed on it. I also downloaded the 1 year statement directly from the Bangkok Bank App and they are listed on that. I guess it's back to the bank tomorrow. 5555
Ok, I'm pretty sure thus is what we need to do. We are slowly getting things ready to retire in Thailand. I know we each need our own bank account with 800000tbh each. But I would think we would want a joint account in Thailand to use. So would you recommend us having our own accounts to satisfy the visa needs and keep them over 800000k or just have 3 accounts? Especially knowing it's getting a little harder to open bank accounts
