Darren Low i have read the list thst was on the empmoyment visa applcaation. Yoy still need a work permit and a visa. Does not apply yo yourist visas or retirement visas. I may be wrong but that is my understanding.
The restricted list is more to do with Military and security. As I read the press release it does not men it is a free for all. You still need a work permit and an appropriate visa.
I understand it that you still need the work permit but your location is not fixed, you can work in any regions you employer deems fit. IE you might be posted to a branch office and rotated between regions It is nt a free for all.
Depends on hard much trouble it is to apply for a visa in the consulate, hand over your passport and wait there days or more.
A 60 day visa is the same length of time as a 30 day Visa free plus 30 day extension. The choice is the applicant. Cost is about the same Cost of a visa from consulate I think is more, But not a huge amount,
Some offices will not process your extension until within 7 days of visa expiration. The online App for example only allows you to submit a request within 14 days
You do not need a visa. You will get 30 days in arrival. You can extend another 30 days once here (That is 60 days) You cross the border and when you come back you again get anther 30 days which can be extended a further 30 days, Each extension costs 1900THB
I understand but I wanted to check if Thailand has the requirement for applicants ts to notify them of any exclusions from other countries (Bot just your home country) Most f not all other countries I have visited have this requirement. Not sure f Thailand has,
In some cases you require a police check for countries where you have lived for more than 12 months. A guy I know from the UK who had lived in Australia for seven years was expelled due to family violence. Not sure if he has to report or inform Thailand of his expulsion *Not his home country) . It is a weak spot in Thai law. But with more and more data sharing I suspect it will not be long before this is cross matched. . .
