They check that travellers meet the entry requirements for the destination country because they’re liable to return passengers who do not meet them. It’s a good question. Might be worth printing out official DTV entry requirements for Thailand? Or you could just buy a flight on Expedia and make sure to cancel it for free within 24 hours.

Analysts I listen to think the DXY may have peaked, at least in the near term. Speaking of Baht specifically, I tend to agree with the person who said it tends to appreciate towards high season, but that’s just anecdotal, and just based on my experience over the past couple of years.
Unless you need the baht immediately, I’m a fan of DCA’ing. Wise doesn’t have very high fixed fees, so there’s little advantage to do it in bulk.
