TLDR : Answer Summary
Users from Canada have shared their experiences using Wise for transferring money to Thailand. Many confirmed that Wise is effective, though reports indicate some recent delays due to a system upgrade. Alternatives like Remitly and Revolut are also discussed as viable options for quicker transfers at lower fees. I know in Australia, ING bank don’t like Wise, I think they see it as money laundering as they called me up one day asking why I was transferring through Wise? I told them it was to send money to my girlfriend in Thailand and they seems ok with it at the time, but a month down the track I was working away from home and went to use my card and it wouldn’t work. I checked my account and I could see the funds there but said $0.00 available balance, as they don’t have physical banks only way to contact ING is via phone and not on a weekend, so had to wait until Monday. Meanwhile I found an email that went to my junk folder from ING saying they were closing my account, I had a certain amount of time to withdraw my funds and that after that date they will close my account. When I called them on Monday they would not explain to me why, saying they didn’t have to tell me why they were closing my account other than I went against the terms and conditions of the account. Which made me think of the phone call a month earlier and why they asked me why I was using Wise.
The biggest difference and pro for using wise is you can have an account like a bank and a debit Mastercard.

years. Takes seconds to transfer smaller amounts may take longer for important amounts and slower when holidays. Rate is great, fees are low and you can preset conversions at the desired exchange rate
I use Remitly to transfer to Cambodia direct to my bank card but Thailand it doesn't seem to work direct to bank cards I haven't tried the traditional method. My last time Wise said it would take a week to send to Thailand so I just use Revoult had it in seconds. I am using wise less and less where as before I always used it

Remitly "From US bank card" to Thailand bank acct; almost instant (98% of time); fee = $1.99 US; my transfer a couple weeks ago took about 12 hrs for BB to admit it had arrived).
Probably 4-5 years. I send money from my RBC account to my kasikorn account arrives in seconds, sometimes On long weekends it can take a few days. The last week I've heard it's been playing up for some customers. A good way to do it is send money to your wise account and wait for exchange rates to raise and then you can transfer when the rate is better.
yeah I saw that list already from my remitly app. There was some difficulties with them last week but it was fixed. The list you sent has the bank of Agriculture and agriculture cooperative. That one really surprises me as a lot of Thai people use that bank. I use one of the big banks that is not listed on this list. I was just looking for a secondary Transfer app likewise just as a backup in case I have difficulties with remitly in the future.
