thanks, it seems like a grey area. I’m currently in Asia, so I’ll probably spring for a flight into Thailand before heading home for the summer to be safe.
the guy is 67 years old. Not everyone from that era knows how to “do research”. Good on him for having the wherewithal to join a Facebook group that’s dedicated to answering his questions.
Analysts I listen to think the DXY may have peaked, at least in the near term. Speaking of Baht specifically, I tend to agree with the person who said it tends to appreciate towards high season, but that’s just anecdotal, and just based on my experience over the past couple of years.
Unless you need the baht immediately, I’m a fan of DCA’ing. Wise doesn’t have very high fixed fees, so there’s little advantage to do it in bulk.
Baht per withdrawal. It’s steep, even could be considered extortionate, but far less than the cost of losing a pile of cash.
I’d price the 220 in and consider withdrawing 20-30k at a time. You’re looking at 1% or less in terms of transaction cost. Is 1% worth the insurance and peace of mind?
