Keep your old passport for showing together with new one for the last two years.

Who knows by then they may be able to re issue with new passport number

You can download the form online and fill in before you go to save time. I’ve done it a month before stamp runs out.

Plenty of places to get copies and photos before too. Have the right money and dress smart ish. Blue tree is a good one if you are close

Not difficult if you have all the bits. Start collecting phots together outside hotels. Phots with her family. They need to know her reasons for needing to return after. Plan well ahead.
