Hello, I am going to apply for a DTV. I was wondering if the passport should still be at least 5 years valid or not? Also, is HMC better than Hanoi? Thank you very much for your help.
Anybody knows if it’s possible to enter on a normal 30 or 60 day visa on arrival instead of using the DTV? Becaue my passport expires in just a bit less than six months.
I have a non o retirement visa which i had fo 9 years,i will go back home june 2026. What i want to be sure about is: My non o visa needs to be renewed on 26 november 2025 but my passport expires on 2nd of august 2026, will i still be able to renew my visa but only to the expire date. I am not worried about my passport as i am not going to be on the move again and if i need to i can apply for a new one again. Thanks.
I’ll be arriving in Thailand via a land border with Cambodia in a few days, as I’m traveling by bike. I was planning to renew my passport in Bangkok (Canadian citizen). My passport still has 6 months and 3 weeks validity. I was planning to spend around 6 weeks in Thailand before heading to Malaysia. Anyone knows if I could encounter any problems getting the 2 months entry stamp at the border?
A friend is coming to Thailand at the end of the month on visa exemption and has just realised her passport expires within 4 months since her entry in the country. She only plans to stay for 3 weeks on holidays and has a ticket back home.
I believe Thailand does not apply the “6-month validity” rule but simply requires for the passport to be valid throughout the stay.
I highly doubt she would have any issues at immigration once in Bangkok but the airline might refuse boarding. So I am looking for an official source stating that the passport only needs to be valid for the duration of the stay. Any leads on where to find it?
Thanks!
P.s. she has already applied for a new passport but might take too long.
