The Thai baht has vanished from my Wise list of countries to exchange and send. It’s been 48 hours. The was an APP update but heard nothing from Wise. Anyone got or had a similar issue? Been using them for over a year now.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reported that the Thai baht has disappeared from their Wise app following an update. Several community members responded, sharing their experiences with the app, confirming the baht's availability on their accounts, and suggesting troubleshooting steps like reinstalling the app. Others discussed alternative money transfer services like OFX and WorldRemit, and shared insights on transferring money to Thailand. Overall, the issue seems to be specific to the user's app, as many confirmed the Thai baht was still visible in their accounts.

You scared me …. Are we heading back to £1=50 baht+ territorry (i still remember)
WesternUnion were the pits. I remember sending money 20 years ago and having to phone WesternUnion and speak to operators who I couldn’t understand. Happy days huh 😂
I have been sending money for 8 years with western union . It goes instantly and for $1000 cost me 99 cents or $2 max . Fee goes up the more you send . Higher amounts typically take a few days
I was going to open wise acct and transfer money to it, then when in Thailand transfer the 800,000 o my new bank act. i get when I am there. Also want my SS check deposited into wise for monthly cost of living. Does that make sense? If I buy a condo, i will want to transfer money from wise to bank also.
Wise is not great for large amounts, I would suggest OFX, their rates are better than banks and you can call them when you are ready to transfer funds and ask for a better rate, I just did that for an overseas house purchase, I only sent a smaller amount first to make sure it arrived in the correct account. Because of money laundering laws now sending larger amounts is a shitshow of paperwork at times.
