Yea it is much more common than you think. Did you get their names? What was the reasoning ? And where exactly in the location did this take place? The #1 problem here are the majority of expats condone this behavior. And that is exactly why it is only going to get worse. Foreigners really need to grow a spine and very politely say NO THANKS! Also when you return home have a story done in the local media.

You could try there are thousands of other foreign criminals who have been hiding here for decades. It all depends on the official when you arrive whether or not they decide to check. Thailand has always been famous as a criminal hideout. Just check any bar in Pattaya on any given day could likely find a whole plane load to ship out.
