Is the Thailand Elite Visa still a good long-term option for expats?

If u do the maths - NO.

On practicality - they also need (like all other visa type) to report every 90 days to immigration - the most disruptive n nonsensical procedure in order for Thai immigration to track aliens like you and me. 🤣🤣

It’s just money fine.

You pay when you leave the country at immigration.

They hardly stop you on the roads n street to arrest foreigners. Unless u are participating in some late night gatherings u will never be caught.

My advise is just leave on your flight n be prepared to pay money.

Government may change its policy but the airlines are governed by their alliance position - some will only fly vac n refuse to fly unvac regardless of what government says
