You might just end up with a 6 month METV not a DTV if you are only doing a 3-6 month course GL

Richard Campbell yes, it’s too keep the undesirables out, Thailand is having a big clean up, they are successfully rounding up and deporting foreign criminals, especially those with outstanding arrest warrants in their own countries.

No where for them to hide due to Facial Recognition Cameras using the latest Ai technology

It’s a good thing, makes it safer for law abiding ex pats and tourists.👌

Get a 6 month METV 🤷🏾‍♀️

It’s highly likely the 60 day exemption will be cut to 30 days well before you arrive, plan your trip carefully and follow the last official immigration news

as long as you have a return flight you should be ok, even if they reduce the visa exemption from 60 days to 30 days (quite likely)

The rules are simple, once you apply in the country you apply from, you have to remain in that country until you receive the official email notification. That’s it, not stressful in anyway, allow 10-14 working days, it maybe soon and check the Thai public holiday list on Google, there are many, ideally avoid applying then to avoid additional delays.

I see you are only staying 3 weeks, in that case then if you have a confirmed return flight you should be fine with a visa exemption whether it’s still 60 days or reduced to 30 days.
