Think it important we keep to what the MFA require , and what the local amphur require . So long as we tag up the difference it will be fine .

It’s actually a report that the MFA require the embassy stamped passport copy . Which will then once submitted carry the gov stamp too . As I read it .

This is new to me but then again the whole experience is so far .

Was going to go with spare copies so it’s going to be important not to get the paperwork mixed up .

If you read the latest comments on the Thai life post you now need your passport copy to be notarized and stamped by the British Embassy. So you now need the affirmation and passport copy stamped while at the embassy

Been working off the Thai life link myself and been expecting to get the affirmation translated on the day . And had given myself an extra day and a half for any hiccups.

Booked into the British Embassy for 10 am and was prepared to just get the translation done that day , going to the gov office the next day .

Can update on Jan 8 th with 2018 experience. Will go straight to gov office from embassy and use translation service there .

Have you booked your embassy appointment? They were only offering January appointment back in November .

There is a severe traffic warning for the roadworks out towards Don Muang Airport TIL September. Allow extra time and use toll ways

Guessing you have the visa for Vietnam before you go ? I had one but didn’t realise it was date specific , so talked my way onto the flight from Thailand but at Vietnam immigration got told I’d arrived ten days early and they could send me home . I apologized and admitted I didn’t realise and said I’d just do what they wanted . It was friendly enough and they gave me fourteen days . But the airline shouldn’t have let me fly .

for a flight you might use Phuket to siem reap costs from 1500 baht one way . 35 euros to guarantee entry requirements

and that really means from a border town across to another countries border town . not a ,real, journey like Bangkok to Hanoi

I have twice now presented onward flight confirmation for 90 days after arrival on that basis and not been turned down . the last time I had not booked entry into the country but as my outward flight was 90 days after the day I applied I think that was why it was ok . just remember with all these onward departure details if you are only supplying to satisfy the documentary stuff buy the cheapest option on the basis you may not use it . ie bus ticket to another country based purely on price not date time or any other normal requirement
