Wonderful people. Could I ask for help in clarifying making money while on the DTV? I teach niche yoga classes. The parent company is in Dubai. Studios worldwide hire them, pay them in foreign currency, who then hire me to travel to teach at that location. In this case Thailand. Would that qualify me as a “remote” worker even though I would physically be teaching in Thailand? 🤔 Thanks in advance.
I am applying for the Thai DTV visa from the Washington Embassy. I’ve seen many posts mentioning that applicants have included a letter of intent and bank statements showing their monthly income. However, the official website only lists the required documents as proof of current location, financial proof of 500,000 THB, and an employment certificate. Would adding these extra documents be beneficial? And if so, where would I submit them since there doesn’t seem to be a designated place?
Advice needed am married to a Thai woman and will be travelling too and through on a regular basis. Because of commits in uk Have bought land with wife understand legal stance on that What would best visa be for me Thank you
When applying at London embassy for soft power DTV Muay Thai it says employment status i am currently unemployed with no income but substantial savings in crypto/bank
even when you choose the unemployed option it still asks for annual income any advice what to put .. there is a “no income” option or a “below $20,000” and other options with higher income brackets
Not sure what to put if i put below 20,000 will they want to see further proof of that income even if it is soft power
will i risk being denied the visa if i choose the no income option even though it is soft power and i have the 500,000 available
Apologies if this seems like a silly question, but I thought I’d ask. I’ll be applying for the DTV soft power visa for Thailand in Vietnam, Hanoi. My wife and our 6-month-old son will also apply as dependents under my visa.
As we prepare for the trip to Vietnam, we’re wondering if we need to stay by the embassy (to go in anytime) and how long we should plan to stay. I understand that I need to apply for my DTV first, and then I can apply for my wife and child’s dependent DTVs. However, I’m unsure about the processing times—would it take around 10 days for mine and then another 10 days for theirs, or could everything be processed simultaneously?
Has anyone here traveled as a family to Vietnam for this purpose? How long did the entire process take for you?
I have a current Non-B with re-entry. I left the country on this visa and then was approved for DTV while in Canada. When returning to Thailand, can I come back on the new DTV and cancel the other one once I arrive? Or do I need to return on the Non-B visa and then cancel, leave the country again, and return on the DTV.
I was told by a visa agent that I can apply for the DTV visa at any embassy online. It doesn't have to be the embassy in the country where my passport is issued or the country where I am currently working. I've been told that some of the embassies in Asia (Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia) have quicker turn around times. As I plan to travel soon this would be advantageous to me. Does anyone know if this is true or has anyone done this yet?
Be cautious about providing proof of financial requirements well above minimum? Has anyone provided proof that you meet the DTV's financial requirements when you have far more in your financial institution than what is required? I have quite a bit more than the 500K THB that is the minimum requirement and feel wary about showing my actual net worth to a foreign government I haven't dealt with before. I could split some of it off into a second smaller account, but I wouldn't have a statement for that new account until the end of November and since I'll be leaving my country mid-December, I won't be here when they mail the visa to me, if I'm approved. Thoughts? Thanks.
