Again not a visa question but lots of experience on here. getting all docs ready and preparing for March wedding, on the site at bottom of post, it states :
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is no longer offering the legalisation express service, which used to return your legalised documents in one day."
It also states the following:
"Due to a new requirement, as of 2017, you also need your passport translated. That means the photo page and the page above or below it, (depending on which country you are from)."
Anyone knows if this is correct as I had planned to complete whole wedding in short 3 day trip before going to Savannakhet for visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) no longer offers express legalization services for marriage-related documents, which can now take up to two days for collection. As of 2017, a translated passport is required, specifically the photo page and an adjacent page, but requirements can vary by office. Users shared experiences regarding the necessity of translated documents and emphasized the importance of checking specific requirements with the local district office where the marriage will be registered to avoid unexpected hurdles.
