To get my name on the house book I need a certified copy of my birth certificate.

The US embassy doesn’t do that. It’s for the authority in Nonthaburi. What is acceptable as certification?

An everything else question: When a foreigner applies for work in Thailand is it necessary, or perhaps preferable, to have qualifications and other documents (in English) translated into Thai and legalized? TIA

Hi All,

I’m at MFA in Chang Wattana. I’ve just been told that I cannot get my partner’s documents legalized without having his Power of Attorney.

I have no idea how to get such thing. Does anyone know?

TIA!

Hello everyone,

My husband is a thai national but are not living in Thai at the moment. May i seek your kind help to clarify the requirements of spouse visa ? (The checklist was download from IO website, hope it is correct):

1. Pt6.2 & 6.3 - overseas marriage require letter from embassy or consulate and legalization division, is that mean we need to get their verification doc supporting?

2. Pt8 - as he is not in Thai now, is employment and monthly income proof of my husband in Thailand a must item for spouse visa application?

Thanks all for your help~

Hi guys!

First off I hope that everyone's paperwork has been smooth during these strange times.

I will be applying for a non-o trailing spouse visa for my wife. Does anyone know if the govt. here requires that the marriage document is translated in-country by a recognized translation service, or would an official translation to English from the home country suffice?

Thanks

Question: In order to obtain a NON-B Visa I was told to certify and legalize my bachelor certificate (from Germany). I just would like to get a confirmation whether I understood the procedure correctly.

1. Go to the German embassy, get a copy of the original document and get a certify stamp. (CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL”)

2. translate in thai or english

3. go to the Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and legalize the document.

correct?
