Has anyone had any issue with getting a 2 month Thai tourist visa in Cambodia?
Easier to let an agent do it or do it yourself?

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post discusses the experiences of individuals obtaining a 2-month Thai tourist visa from Cambodia, particularly through the Thai consulate in Phnom Penh. It highlights the use of visa agents in Siem Reap who facilitate the process but ultimately send applications to Phnom Penh, noting the turnaround time of about 3 days for visa approval. Several comments share personal experiences with agents, costs, and recommendations, as well as concerns regarding form completion and onward travel documentation.
, in Siem Reap most tour companies are also visa agents. The reason it can take a week to get a thai visa from an agent in Siem Reap is that they need to send a runner to take your passport down to Phnom Penh wait until they get it back from the thai consulate then lug it back up to Siem Reap. :/
There is only ONE thai consulate in Cambodia and that's in Phnom Penh. It doesn't matter if you're getting a thai visa while you wait in Poi Pet, or Siem Reap or Sihanoukville all the agents take the passports to Phnom Penh.
Plus that consulate has a 3 day turn around to get your passport back and it is NOT known as the most user friendly consulate in S/E Asia.
I have twice now presented onward flight confirmation for 90 days after arrival on that basis and not been turned down . the last time I had not booked entry into the country but as my outward flight was 90 days after the day I applied I think that was why it was ok . just remember with all these onward departure details if you are only supplying to satisfy the documentary stuff buy the cheapest option on the basis you may not use it . ie bus ticket to another country based purely on price not date time or any other normal requirement
You can justify a three day trip to phnom pehn once to do the sights from the royal palace to the genocide memorials. In fact you could argue it is something people should bear witness to .
But once thatβs been done a second trip is harder as there is little to recommend about PP .
However these the embassy opening hours . Drop off in morning , get receipt , collect afternoon 48 hours later
