Your only real achievable method would be to start your own Thai Registered Company in a field that would allow you to make money in a business type you are allowed to be in. Not easy and it is costly.
Once in Thailand you can apply for an O Visa 90 days or in most any neighboring country.. Then that 90 Day O Visa can be Extended for One Year - No official Retirement status needed - none.. Just meet financial requirements.. No official Pension status needed.
Please note: some immigration jurisdictions expect you to report to the immigration office within 24 hours of reentering Thailand. Some immigration offices do not. This is not related to your 90 day report. It is advisible to check your Imm office policy on this issue
