What language has the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok included in their letters for Non-Immigrant Visa holders seeking COVID-19 extensions?

Real Question: Has the U. S. Embassy Bkk issued any "new" phrases in their letter for Thai Immigration purposes? ... That is have they inserted any language that would help an American Expat who has a Non Immigrant Visa O or B get a covid-19 Extension?

Note: This phrase below was in the March 21 US Embassy Bkk Health Alert...

"U.S. citizens normally resident overseas should avoid international travel".

Key words "normally resident". But AFAIK The US Embassy has not even inserted this phrase above into their "Letter".

The US Embassy also inserted the following set of phrases in the referenced Health Alert that covers Tourists...

"U.S. citizens normally resident in the U.S. but currently outside the U.S., i.e. tourists and other short-term travelers, should return while there are still transportation options available."

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the current wording in letters issued by the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok concerning COVID-19 extensions for American expats with Non-Immigrant Visas O and B. There's concern that the language provided in the letters does not adequately support these visa holders, contrasting it with how other embassies have addressed similar situations. Some participants mention they are drafting letters to the embassy to request clearer language that would benefit Non-Immigrant Visa holders, as the current generic language primarily assists tourists.

You realize that letter has to be translated into Thai as well.

If they mess up on the Eng letter, make sure you get the translation to mention what you want.

How about you actually quiting your day job since you suck at it so bad.

Don't go raging behind my back on the group whining and crying.

@Charles ********
, please keep your day job because you sort of suck at visa advice. :O

The "unable to travel due to covid-19" letter you get from your consulate does NOT have to be translated into Thai

I got my extension with the personal letter from the US embassy in English.

Mostly the successful letters from other Embassies centered around how an Embassy phrased something like - all citizens are urged not to fly internationally or borders are closed, etc.

It doesn't matter that the US Embassy Health Alert has the phrases above in my post. Those phrases are not in the ACS letter. Thai Immigration will only act upon the sacred LETTER.

I am penning a letter to the US Embassy American Citizens Services who are the source of the Letters asking for language benefitting Non Imm Visa holders. An American friend of mine wrote Embassy ACS a very request letter recently emphasizing that he needed language that would help Non Imm Visa holders. ACS sent him the letter benefitting only Tourists

Garrette Greenwalds Yes the US Embassy is issuing Letters but only with fairly generic language benefitting Tourists. Non Imm Visas holders are being denied if they try to use this existing letter. Embassies of other countries used language / phrases that has been successful in getting a Covid-19 Extension for Non Imm Visa holders

Did the embassy not give you a letter?
