Hi folks. I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but have learned it's always best to confirm and re-confirm here in Thailand, especially when it comes to matters of immigration.
I moved here in February of this year. I have a Non-Immigrant O Visa and received an extension of stay based on retirement qualifications. My original reporting date was to be August of this year after receiving my extension in May. I made a trip back to the US recently and returned on June 30. My reporting notice that was put into my passport when I received my extension was removed and a TM6 was put in its place with my arrival date, which was June 30. From what I've read, the 90 days starts over once you re-enter the country. So if this is correct then my reporting date would be sometime during the last two weeks of September. Is this correct? TIA!!!
Bill
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user confirms their understanding that their 90-day reporting requirement restarts upon re-entering Thailand. They have a Non-Immigrant O Visa, extended based on retirement, and after returning from the US, they believe their new reporting date is in late September. Comments from the community confirm that re-entry resets the 90-day count, although there's a note regarding possible immediate reporting to the local immigration office upon re-entering.
