90 DAY REPORTS (TM.47 form)

I'm going to post this here to help some people I've noticed getting into difficulties:

The first report you make after entering the country must be done *in person* at the immigration office in the province you live in.

EDIT: Steve Smythe who commented below is right (thank you Steve!). You can also submit the first TM.47 90 days after entering Thailand by mail (Thai Post). Personally, I wouldn't recommend this due to reliability issues and particularly not the first ever TM.47 as you might fill it out wrong or not provide the right documents. Details here:

[members only]

Take your passport with you and *make paper copies of the passport pages (face and details) and of the visa page*. You can do this at the immigration office, but it's quicker if you have them ready.

The standard deadlines are: two weeks before and up to one week after the arrival stamp or 90 day period. If you do it too early, it will normally be rejected. If you do it too late, you may have to pay a fine which should be 1,900 Baht - unless you forget completely, then it could be higher.

Subsequent 90 days reports can be done online here (requires registration):

[members only]

When you leave the country and re-enter, the clock is "reset", i.e. do the first 90 day report after re-entering in person and so on.

Hi everyone. I have my DTV Visa granted on 15 September 2024, and have been living in Bangkok since.

A friend told me that I may need to complete and physically visit immigration and submit a "Notification of residence for more than 90 days form (TM.47)"

He wasn't sure and just submitted this form to be on the safe side.

Few confirmation questions:

1)

Can anyone confirm if this form is mandatory to physically submit within 90 days of obtaining a DTV.

2)

If its mandatory, then where in Bangkok do I go to submit this form, or can I do this online?

Please advise the above, or if its not mandatory, please let me know..

Thanks

Submitted my 90 day report online

Email says they have received it ok

Is that it?

Is there another email later with an approval or a reference number?

First time trying to use the drive through in Phuket Town for 90 day report. Question - I am bringing photocopies of passport (visa/personal info page) and my departure card. But do I need to fill out any forms? If so, it seems it’s not a drive through if I don’t have the forms before getting there. Is this the gist?

Heading to MTT tomorrow for my first 90 days report.

Would like to check what is the documents that I need to make a copy of. I have the TM 47 filed up already.

Also for the 90 days user name and password, do I just request it from the counter or is there a separate counter which i need to go to? Thank you very much

Tod, thank you for calculating an exact 90 days of May 8 2020 per my previous post. Would there be a problem or fine if I were to depart Thailand May 16 without filing a TM.47 form?
