Does anyone have a number as to how many Immigration jurisdictions are enforcing the 24 hour reporting after reentering Thailand. And which ones are most vigorous with fines.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 24-hour reporting requirement after re-entering Thailand is enforced variably across different immigration jurisdictions. Some areas, particularly in the north like Chiang Mai and Kanchanaburi, are reported to be strict about compliance, while others, such as Nakhon Ratchasima, show little interest in enforcing it. Pattaya is also mentioned as enforcing this rule. Many individuals suggest that the enforcement appears inconsistent, especially regarding domestic travel compared to international arrivals.
Kanchanaburi also requires a report within 24 hours of arriving in Thailand, but don't seem interested in domestic travels. I just take a pre-signed TM30 with me and on my return, date and sign it, and as I pass the immigration office on my way home from one of the Bangkok airports, just drop in with it.
Everyone up in the north is quite serious about the rule. My hubby just had to ask for a TM 30 for a place he was staying in on a business trip in Bangkok (we're based in Chiang Mai) and gave everyone a laugh at the office until they realised he wasn't joking and they will have to pay a fine if they don't get one for him.
Prachinburi require the 24 hour report after returning from another country, but they don't require in country reporting. No sure if they will fine you over the matter, but they fined someone the maximum for screwing there 90 reporting. (Not me by the way).
They said that if we'd reported within a week, they would have been ok with that, but anything more than 7 days is not. Again, it might have been just that particular person we were lucky to talk to. You know how it works here 😉
You are only required to report within 24 hours of when you get back to your home in Chiang Mai. NOT from when you fly into the country. Just show them that you were NOT staying in Chiang Mai and you're okay.
Tod Daniels yes, that's exactly my point. But we needed this paper not to get fined in Chiang Mai, because we flew in from abroad and spent 2 weeks in Bangkok before reporting ourselves back home in CM
You don't need to file one in Bangkok because the immigration office down here doesn't care if you have ever filed one. Not filing one doesn't get in the way of you getting an extension, a residence certificate a re-entry permit or doing a 90 day report.
Allegedly Pattaya is also enforcing it. We live in CM and ignore it for domestic travel but do report after international travel. With 5 million visitors annually to Thailand I seriously doubt anyone is going to get excited about domestic travel. International travel is marked in your passport so you want to keep that record clean and consistent on your TM 30.
Chiang Mai is rabid about them for anyone who has a long term extension, they don't seem to care about them when people are on 30 day visa exempt entries or 60 day tourist visa entries getting a 30 day extension..
JD,last time I came back, everyone told me I must go to immigration, so I thought better go as this must be a new thing. I got to immigration and they asked why was I there? I said ‘to report I’m back’ the whole immigration rolled about laughing and said ‘we can see that but what are you doing here?’ I said obviously I just popped in to give you a laugh! And off I went. So are you supposed to do this?
