Hello, for the last few years I've been employed on a non-B/work permit issued through the BOI but last year I changed company and this company is not a BOI entity which means I am now back to the regular "Chaengwattana system".

There was a whole mountain of paperwork required last year to move out of BOI that I figured was a one-off but I guess not as it is repeating somewhat this year.

I haven't been in this system for quite a while so I have a few questions about the process that my HR is either unable to answer or can't explain clearly due to language barrier.

* My current stamp expires on 29th April.

* We went to Chaengwattana yesterday to renew the visa and I got a new stamp that is valid until the 23rd of April.

* On the 23rd of April I need to either give HR my passport to get the 1 year single entry stamp or else I need to go with them to Chaengwattana again and get my photo taken for the 1 year multiple entry stamp. (I know it's also possible to do this at the airport if necessary.)

* My 90 day report is due on 18th April.

What I don't understand is:

* Why did they only give me a 3 week stamp? Why couldn't I just get the entire 1 year renewal + multiple entry permit done in one go yesterday?

* Does my 90 day report counter reset back to 0 now that I had an immigration 'event' and the visa has been renewed or does that operate on a separate counter and I still need to file it now?

Thanks in advance

Hello all,

I just concluded a contract with a Thai company and canceled my Non-B visa and work permit today with permission to stay until March 19th. The company staff told me that I can change the visa and extend to Non-O based on marriage.

1. Is that true?

2. Do I do this at CW or Chamchuri Square (where the Non-B was issued)?

3. Can I just get a short extension as I have a business trip in April and can then just come back in and do the normal extension process based on marriage?

Thanks!

Seeking advice about the 1 year extension based on having a Thai Wife - at ChaengWattana.

* Is booking required, or are walk-ins also accepted? First available booking on the website is 3 Jan, I need to apply on 6 or 9 December. Is it better to arrive early to be at front of queue, or are afternoons quieter?

* does anyone have a recent copy of the document checklist they could provide me. I've been working of Phitsanulok checklist, so not sure what requirements would be different.

* For the B400,000 statement and letter from the bank, can that be from a few days before the application, or do I have to get something from the bank on the morning of application

* Does the KorRor22 have to be printed same day as application, or can be earlier? Phitsanulok office require it printed same day as the application.

* How much notice do they normally give before home visits? What if you are out at the shops, visiting friends, restaurant, etc?

For reference - I'm on an Australian passport, with Non-Imm O visa. Current entry stamp expires 9 December, visa stamp is already expired. Married to Thai wife. We tried to apply today at Phitsanulok immigration, since we are currently staying there, however, have been sent to apply at Bangkok immigration since that is our more primary residence (we alternate between both locations frequently) and were planning to be there most of December.

Phitsanulok immigration said there would be 3 home visits during the 30 day under application period, and at least 1 would be unannounced, and if we were not home when they turned up the whole visa would simply be cancelled.

Any advice appreciated, as I'd like to avoid multiple trips out to ChaengWattana.

I am currently on a 30 day visa exempt stamp. I will need to extend it by 30 days. At Chaengwattana immigration how many days before it expires should you extend? Does Chaengwattana require TM 30 to extend? Thank you for the help.

Hello Advice needed before going to Immigration Chaengwattana please !

I need to go to cancel our Visas (extensions of stay - Visa ED and guardian) before leaving Thailand.

We don't have an online appointment.

From personal experience, knowing that I desperately need to have it done as quickly as possible, and that I only have 2 options, would you say it's better to go there at 8:00 in the morning, or at 15:00 ?

Thank you very much in advance .

Topic: Transfer from old to new passport + 90 days

Good evening ladies and gents,

* I recently (Friday 8 March) transferred my visa extension from my old passport to my new passport at Chaengwattana Immigration.

* I got told to head to my local immigration in April with the TM47 document to renew my 90 days.

*My days 90 expires on 16 April.

My eventual problem:

* I am flying out on Sun 7 April and returning to Thailand on Fri 19 April.

My questions:

* Do I need to head to my local immigration before flying?

* What is the correct procedure to do this?

* How to avoid penalties?

I know it is maximum 14 days prior or 7 days after due date but feel like this process might be slightly different from what I am used to. I feel like I might have to go twice. Once before flying, and once after flying. Or is this not necessary? I don't wanna end up paying a 2k fine.

Thank you in advance for your wise and helpful comments!

For Chaengwattana immigration, does anyone know 1) What format of family pictures with Thai wife are needed for a Non-O visa extension (Thai Spouse). Do they have to be printed on photopaper or does it have to be colored or B&W printed on normal paper? 2) Can the map just be google maps with condo circled?

Went to Chaengwattana Immigration with a friend to do his 90 day report this am. Was in and out in 25 min. He needed just the TM30, TM47, and passport. I went onto Nonthaburi because that’s where I live to do my first report. In Nonthaburi, you need Passport, copy of passport bio page, copy of Visa/extension page, copy of last stamp in page, TM30 and TM47.
