One thing I noticed about advice on food budgets. I’m no expert on cost in Thailand, but most of the higher budgets for food make me think these people do little to no actual cooking. It’s extremely easy to get cooked food delivered to you fairly cheap.
If you live in the US and are retired, how often do you eat out? I doubt it most meals every day. My wife’s family cooks most of their own food for two for around 5,000 Badts monthly. Just a reference point for some of you
So my pension won’t transfer to a foreign account. Is simply manually transferring funds from a US account to a Thai account around the same time each month work for a retirement or marriage visa?
Question. Can my Thai spouse be on my Thai bank account with the 25K? I ask that is case something unexpected happens to me so she can assess the funds in a emergency
Thank you. She has a Thai bank account, but just for my knowledge, does Thailand allow me to setup a Thai bank account in just my name if I am living in the US and not applying for a visa for 3-4 years?
