Got my retirement visa extension valid until 30. September 2026. multiple entries.

I guess it kicks in after my current non-O 90 days visa expires.

Timeline:

4. July 2025. Friday: consultation, paperwork, copies at Thai Visa Center, payment (1 hour)

7. July Monday - opening bank account. TVC staff was at the bank branch to assist (TVC car picked me up, 40 minutes at the bank, brought me back home)

8. July Tuesday - processing

9. July Wednesday - my passport with 1 year retirement extension and multiple entries and my bank passbook in my hands( My ATM card was with me when I left the bank). A messenger delivered passport and bank passbook about noon.

It was very quick, possibly, I got lucky and was within a batch of other applicants that they process once a week or in 10 days

Absolutelly great service by Thai Visa Center.

I’ve got my DTV from Hanoi. I submitted on Dec 1 and get approved in Dec 6.

Now I want to know is

- Do I just need to show my DTV visa when I enter to Thailand? For visa sticker like other issues, what else I need to do?

- About bank opening.. I want to open Thai bank account. Any suggestion or recommendations please

Thanks in advance 😊

I’m close to my 2 year window to go to retire in Thailand. Question, my spouse who just went to LA to Thai consulate to renew her passport made me think about this. Should I apply for a retirement visa in the US before I go or get an agent once I’m there? No experience with any of this.

I have a Non-Immigrant 0 visa from the Thai office in Vancouver, BC. It is valid from September 23 to December 21, 2024.

IF I can't travel to Thailand by December 21, ( I am in the process of selling my house in Vancouver) will I be able to extend the visa or do I have to start over again?

Also will someone please recommend a reasonable agent to help me with this visa. I used a legal firm to apply the visa and it was 16,490 baht. To continue with the opening of bank account and visa run they want another 25,680 baht. I think that is too much from what I have read.

Thank you for your help!

Hi guys, last week I got a ton of questions from mainly personal friends about how I got my DTV.

Instead of explaining it to each of them, eventually I decided to just make a video how the application process worked in Germany. I was also able to open a bank account at BKK Bank with the DTV after coming back to TH. Maybe it helps anyone who is interested.

Cheers!

Morning all.

Myself and my wife will be retiring to the Pattaya region form the UK.

Just not sure how to start this, do we get visa's first then property then bank account last.

Or is it easier to employ a legal representative in Thailand.

Cheers

What would be a reasonable amount for an agent to charge to organise an non-immigrant O retirement visa, including opening bank account? Thanks
