How do you know they will do it properly? I'm sure there are some good ones out there but do you want to risk being removed from the country because you found a crap one!

Is it still affordable to get prescription glasses or eye tests in Thailand compared to the UK?

Got varifocal lenses put into my old frames late last year, 24,000 baht if I remember correctly. My chemist, lovely Indian fella in Ubon, said he gets his from India for a lot cheaper price and has said he'll take my prescription, and another old frame, and get me a pair next time he goes home!

Do I need to close my UK bank accounts when moving to Thailand?

I use a family members address and have 3 bank/building society accounts. None of them told me I'd need to close them. I transfer money from pension into them monthly to keep them active. Also pay £6 monthly for cheapest GiffGaff sim in UK phone.

Which bank is best for expats to open an account in Thailand?

The first one that lets you! Not being flippant but put on comfortable shoes, take a thai person, as many documents as you can. Buy an all day ticket at the car park and prepare to walk lots. Same bank, different branch..... different criteria needed. Good luck

How can I keep my UK bank account while living in Thailand?

Have 3 bank and 1 building society account. All have brothers address. Pension paid into one bank and standing order to the other 3 every month. No issues so far after over 2 years

Does Thai Air Asia check carry-on luggage weight of 7kg?

I booked 3 tickets for internal flight last February with a 7kg limit for carry on bag. All 3 people took an extra (personal item) bag that had to fit under the seat in front. My wife took these two, no questions asked
