Hi Kirstin - Unless something changed recently - and I'd be very surprised if it did - Fang immigration office does not do this extension. They can do 90 day reports and I vaguely remember that I visited them for something else but mostly it will be Chiang Mai.

That's what Chiangmai immigration told me - 800,000b for a joint account.

The Chiangmai immigration handout is not helpful on how recent all the bank documents must be.

WRT the 1 year statement probably best to plan that it might take the bank 5 days to generate it. Now, whether or not Chiangmai immigration will accept screen shots of a 'statement' from your bank's personal banking app or website, I don't know.

Chiangmai immigration asks for the bank certification letter, a one-year statement, and your bank book updated the day you apply. I applied yesterday and they wanted me to get a new certification letter. Note that, while the Bangkok Bank in Chang Phueak will issue the certification letter while you wait (100 baht) they told me it takes 5 business days for the 1 year statement (200 baht). My Bangkok Bank branch in Mae Ai, where I live, issued both of those while I waited...

Same deal, also Chiang Mai. Since I will be in the city tomorrow I was planning to stop by the immigration office to get the transfer done but it sounds like I can just have them do it when I go there to apply for a 1 year extension in about 4 weeks, correct?

Does immigration typically do the transfer 'while you wait' or is this a 'leave it with us and come back' thing? And, if it has to left with them, how long does it typically take to get it back?
