I've never had to purchase a Re-entry Permit. My flight is at 11:15pm tomorrow from CNX and I have to travel about 3 hours to get to the airport. What time do I need to get to the airport to make sure I can purchase a Single Re-entry Permit? Does immigration stop selling re-entry permits at a certain time?

Based on this online guide for re-entry permits [members only] it looks like I will need

* 1000b cash

* passport + copies of selected pages

* TM.8 application form with 4x6 photo

* TM.6 + copy

Seems right?

(Sorry for the last-minute question. This is a flight I just now purchased due to an emergency family medical issue in the US.)

TLDR : Answer Summary
To ensure you can purchase a Single Re-entry Permit before your flight from Chiang Mai, arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to your departure. Immigration services for re-entry permits are available until the last flight of the day, so you should have enough time to complete the required paperwork. Remember to bring 1,000 baht in cash, your passport with copies of selected pages, the TM.8 application form with a photo, and TM.6 with a copy.

FYI - Called the airport. Immigration is there for re-entry permits up until the last flight leaves for the day.

Are you flying internationally from Chiang Mai airport ?

Suggest you get to the Airport 3 hours before Flight time...

And ask the Thai immigration officer where's the Re-entry permit desk? The fee is 1,000 Thai baht... but may ask Extra 200 for 1,200... (service fee).

Yes, first leg is CNX to Seoul - not going through BKK.

And the CNX re-entry permit desk doesn't close down before, say, 9pm?

Ask Thai immigration officer...

Chiang Mai Airport

If you’re leaving Thailand from Chiang Mai, you can get your re-entry permit at Chiang Mai Airport after you check in for your flight. In the international departures area, you’ll find podiums where immigration officers can help you apply for your re-entry permit.

Yes, seems like Korean Air is the least expensive way to get to the USA now from CNX. Wednesday, Thursday, and maybe Saturday late night flights.
