Have I been done or is this procedure correct ? Am on Marriage Extension. I was due to do 90 day report on 15th April. I forgot and think Immigration (Nong Khai) was closed that day due to Songkran. Anyway went to Koh Pha Ngan that day and returned late Friday 25th. Realised my error and went to Immigration today and got 2000 Baht fine and was told I could have done 90 day report at Pha Ngan. TIA. I suppose just lesson learnt.
Still having problems having my marriage visa extension approved, got the chanote and other supporting documents, but there was some issue with everything matching up due to the owner living abroad and it being managed by a different person.
IO officer seems to change their requirements now we provided what they asked for first time, proving a difficult process and I am running out of time.
I asked about the 60 day visit spouse extension, one IO on the info desk said yes you can apply for the 1 year after the 60 days, and the family officer seemed to confirmed this, but then they said the documents they want are all the same, so including living situation.
This seems a bit strange, I get needing a permanent address for 1 year living with spouse, but the 60 days could just be for visiting, why would you need the rental agreements etc? (I guess fundamentally it's at the offices/officers discretion?)
Frustrated honestly, wife not happy with it all either.
Oh just wondering, could I go to a different province, like chang wattana, and try to get the 60 days?
having delays in getting my marriage visa extension, because my property owner is procrastinating in providing documents.
Specifically, the proof of purchase or chanote for the property I'm living in. We provided everything else, tabien baan Ids etc. but IO (jomtien) said we need this too, was otherwise happy with my application.
A bit concerned as owner/agent is not responsive to me after days. Wondering what my options are if they don't provide it before my visa expiry in start of may, obviously songkran means immigration is closed next week too.
If i leave the country in May can I get another non-o 90 day (thai spouse) then re-enter?
My lease expires soon so could potentially move to another property that's could be more helpful. A bit stressful overall, any help appreciated thanks.
I have got the first stamp on a 1 year exstension based on marriage i am supposed to go back on the 28th of march for the final stamp but i have a problem cannot make it on the 28th is it possible to get it on the 27th or what is the penalty if i am 5 days late
I have a marriage extension appointment at Chaeng Wattana on a Monday morning, but I can only get the 400K THB bank letter the preceding Friday. Does Chaeng Wattana accept bank letters up to 7 days old? Any advice appreciated!
I have a pending consideration stamp in my passport. We plan to leave Thailand for an overseas trip. Will my visa application be cancelled? Google search says it will. Anyone have any experience with this?
I need to extend my marriage visa. Does anyone know if the Central Festival location in Chiang Mai can process this, or is it better to go to the Airport branch? Thanks 🙏
Hi! My non-o marriage visa will expire on 7.12.24 and until now, I had no idea I can just extend it without leaving Thailand!
Is there a time limit for the extention? And as I understand from other posts, every immigration office has their own rules? I'm going to visit the one in Sriracha tomorrow. Please give me a few advices before I go there😅🙏
So, I messed up. My non-O visa runs out on November 7th and while I have been otherwise approved for a 1-year marriage visa extension, I don't have any pages left in my passport.
Okay, I actually have 3 pages left, but they all say "Endorsements" in tiny letter on the side of the page and apparently you can't use those for visas...despite two countries already using half of one of those pages for visa stamps...regardless today Thai immigration told me they can't use them.
Am I screwed? The US Embassy website seems to say that a lack of pages is not a reason for an emergency or temporary passport, and they don't add pages anymore.
I can't apply for a new passport here in Bangkok because my visa will run out long before I get it.
Did I fuck up so bad by not knowing about these final three pages in my passport that I now have to leave my wife just before her birthday, my condo that I have a contract for, my prepaid Christmas plans, and go home for months while I sort out a new passport? Is there no other solution?
UPDATE
After some difficulty, I was able to make an appointment to renew my passport (usually done through mail only) and I will have the chance to state my case for an emergency passport (usually not given in my particular case) so I can get a visa stamp and stay in the country.
