But they do check for overstays etc. Assuming the machines will do that though.

the question was which ones work best with Wise, if you go to just any bank to do that you might end up with one with a transfer limit. So in this case not that simple. Anyway the questions been answered.

Edit: wow you asked how to get a visa exempt entry, literally the simplest question you could google the answer to. No one called you out on that.

well super rich and others are at 33.95 and wise is at 34.05 so yes it is. Granted the fees might wipe or equalise the savings and yes it is cheaper than doing it in the home country. But it is not the best exchange rate as claimed. Think we've covered most of the aspects now anyway 👍

Where? All the most popular and apparently best exchange rates are lower than wise right now. Of course it is the balance between exchange rate and fees so for large amounts like this may possibly work out less - by my super quick calculations it's pretty much same same so fair enough I guess. More important though is meeting the requirements both visa wise and legally so still think it's the worst idea on this thread.

get a shitty exchange rate, have to declare it when bringing it, and possibly have it mean it doesn't meet the requirements. Great solution.

Not good for ATMs here, if you have a choice, as still has 220 baht transaction as per normal. But good for card payments. No fee for that.

I keep it for online payments and as backup incase something happens with my local back card (not yet but redundancy always is good).

And as said for travelling to other countries. I've not since before covid but Thai bank cards rarely worked. Wise always did.
